Universal Credit

This is a monthly payment benefit which is available to help with the cost of living if you are unemployed or have a low income. The amount you could receive is dependent on your age, relationship status, housing costs, and disabilities.

Pension Credit

Are you over the state pension age and on a low income? You could qualify for Pension Credit. This is a scheme to top up your income, helping to ease the cost of living and those everyday spends.

Personal Independence Payment (PIP)

PIP is a non means-tested benefit for those who feel their daily experience of life and mobility is impacted by their long-term illness or disability. Regardless of your savings or income, you can still claim. So, whether you are in employment or are currently unemployed, you could qualify for this payment.

Carer's Allowance

This benefit is for those who care for someone for a minimum of 35 hours a week. You could qualify for this allowance but the person you care for must be claiming one of the below benefits:

  • Attendance Allowance
  • Constant Attendance Allowance
  • Middle or the highest rate of the care component of Disability Living Allowance
  • Standard or enhanced rate of the daily living component of Personal Independence Payment (PIP).

Attendance Allowance

As a non means-tested benefit, Attendance Allowance is for UK citizens who are over the State Pension age and have a disability or long-term health condition which impacts their ability to look after themselves. You can qualify if you are employed or unemployed. This payment helps with covering those extra costs, including additional care costs and other essentials like food or utility costs.

Child Benefit

This benefit is for parents who have children under the age of 16 or children under the age of 20 if they are in full-time education.

  • The Household Support Fund (HSF)
