2. Have the Right of Abode in the UK

  • National ID Card

By providing one of the above forms of identification, you are confirming you are either a British Citizen or have a Right of Abode in UK.

3. UK National Living in the EEA

4. Irish National living in the UK

6. A Non-UK National with permission to live in the UK (not educational purposes)

Additional Evidence:

Yes, you will need to provide us with your Immigration papers confirming you have permission from the UK government to live in the UK (and not just for educational purposes).

Check required:

By providing both of the above forms of identification, you are confirming you have the right to work. 

If you have ‘no recourse to public funds’ on your immigration status, this is ok also.

7. A family member of a UK National

Accepted Applicant ID:

  • Passport
  • Driving Licence
  • National ID Card

Additional Evidence:

Yes, you will need to provide us with:

  1. a form of Identification Documentation confirming who you are,
  2. Proof of your relationship to a family member,
  3. Proof of the family member(s) UK Nationality.

Check required:

Your family members in this instance will include a husband, a wife, a civil partner, a child, a grandchild, a dependent parent, or a grandparent of a UK or EEA National.

8. A family member of an EEA National

Accepted Applicant ID:

  • Passport
  • Driving Licence
  • National ID Card

Additional Evidence:

Yes, you will need to provide us with:

  1. a form of Identification Documentation confirming who you are,
  2. Proof of your relationship to a family member,
  3. Proof your family member is an EEA National living in the UK.

Check required:

Your family members must meet the rule, and we must be able to see that this is an immediate family member – these include a husband, a wife, a civil partner, a child, a grandchild, a dependent parent, or a grandparent of a UK or EEA National.
